The Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SELSB) was formed in a general meeting of those surgeons who were performing and others who were interested in laparoscopic surgery and its development on August 5, 1999. The meeting was chaired by Professor C.H. Kabir, the then Convenor of the Convening Committee.
