MESSAGE FROM SECRETARY GENERAL - SELSB

Message From The Desk of Member Secretary

I am Dr. Md. Jahangir Hossan Bhuiyan for the privilege of heading an association like Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SELSB). SELSB is the parent organization for all surgeons and includes all specialities and sub-specialities. This organization is meant to encourage surgeons, each and every one, in the pursuit of greater surgical skills and wider knowledge. We are dedicated to not only teach but mentor upcoming surgeons. Finally, I cannot stress enough the importance of safe and ethical surgical practice.

In the era where all information is available at a single click, the launch of our website is apt. This is to allow accessibility of all our members, current and future, to journals, books, videos, and all information updates regarding SELSB.

I expect continuous co-operation form all to help our society to reach higher and higher peaks.

Who we are...

The Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SELSB) was formed in a general meeting of those surgeons who were performing and others who were interested in laparoscopic surgery and its development on August 5, 1999. The meeting was chaired by Professor C.H. Kabir, the then Convenor of the Convening Committee. In total thirty six eligible members were present in the meeting, who were later declared as the founder members of the Society.
